Realization: JHS vs Cusack

Circuit wise, I know these are completely different. The Kilt is based on the Expandora was is close to a Rat. The Screamer Fuzz from what I understand is either a TS and FF or a TS with a bias of an OP Amp or some wizardry. Regardless, both of these can go from a light drive, to a distortion, to a fuzzy drive, to a gated fuzz. With that being said they do the same thing, but each has a different character.

The Kilt has more low end, a bit more compression, can do a much more transparent boost because you can dial the fuzz totally out. Very good EQ shaping and plenty of sound variety with the steps.

The Screamer Fuzz has more midrange, less low end, is a bit more open, can do a lot of the in between more with the in between Overdrive,Distortion and Fuzz sounds. Still plenty of sustain and a really good clean up with the volume knob.

Both of these are very good and probably the two most versatile drive pedals I’ve played. Figured this would be an interesting share!
